Abstract:

Nowadays, in-flight comfort has become an essential characteristic to survive in domestic airline businesses. Air hostesses’ quality of service and response time to customer demand plays a vital role in enhancing quality of the flight experience and passenger satisfaction. However, additional requirements on air hostess expose them to fatigue which could eventually result in job dissatisfaction that also will reflect onto the customer. This research studies the detailed tasks of airhostesses that take place from take-off to landing and answers such questions as usefulness of discrete-event simulation in assessing the performance measures of an airline hostess team and in improving them. Different activity scenarios are developed through simulation to provide a better organization of the multi-tasks that the airhostess provide to customers throughout the flight. This study is conducted on an airbus aircraft.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Modeling and Analysis of Handling-Stability of Passenger Cars

A nonlinear model consisting “yaw, roll, longitudinal, lateral and pitch” has been developed in which, tire and suspension characteristics have been considered. Tire model is based on the elliptic concept and tire Calspan data. According to this tire model, cornering force and aligning moment are computed as a function of slip and camber (inclination) angles, normal load, tire adhesion characte...

In-Flight Injuries Involving Children on Commercial Airline Flights.

BACKGROUND More than 3 billion passengers are transported every year on commercial airline flights worldwide, many of whom are children. The incidence of in-flight medical events (IFMEs) affecting children is largely unknown. This study seeks to characterize pediatric IFMEs, with particular focus on in-flight injuries (IFIs). METHODS We reviewed the records of all IFMEs from January 2009 to J...
